The weather was beautiful and on Friday the temp. was in the low 70's. It felt so good. We all enjoyed walking on the beach and I enjoyed Darbee staying overnite in Nana's hotel room. We made memories I hope neither of us forget. Darbee was so excited looking out our hotel room. Wondering what she was thinking
This picture just melts my heart. Darbee said ,It's just us girls Nana, you don't have to be scared, I wll hold your hand." Yep, there's nothing like seeing the world in the eyes of a child. We were on our way home and Darbee said she wanted to go to a primitive shop. When I explained to her there were none around she said "Well , let's just go to the mountains then", She knows we visit several when we go to Tn. She is definitely a primitive girl in training!
My daughter and her family. Thank you for a wonderful few days. Life is to short not to stop and enjoy the little things. Memories were made and stored in my mind forever .Found this quote and thought it was approiate for this trip.
"Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone"

Hope all of you are making memories of your own this weekend.
You made me cry! Love the pic. of Darbee looking out the window. Hadn't seen that one. We had a great time too! So glad you came with us. Thanks for making memories with us. Love you!
ReplyDeleteOk you both just made me cry :) Love reading your adventures and I love looking at the pictures too.
ReplyDeleteAh, made me cry too! Such a sweet, sweet picture of you two holding hands! You should frame that one for sure. Beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit to my blog and your sweet comments. We are a one income family too. I have been staying home for 7 months now and I love it! God has blessed us to be able to do this for our family.
Wishing you a blessed weekend~
What a beautiful post, grand daughters are God's greatest gift. We have 9 and 1 grandson. Ages range from 4 months to 18 years. We are truly blessed. Each year my daughter and I take the girls and drive to Wisconsin, our home state where all the other kids and grand kids live. It is a 12 hour drive, so there is a lot of, Are We There Yet. We break up the trip by staying overnight in a motel, the girls love it too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog. I started last June and have enjoyed it tremendously. The gals out East will think my "snow" post is silly but here in Southwest Missouri it is a major deal. Like you said everything pretty much shuts down. I have to work tomorrow but that will not happen. Only 12 miles from work but not on ice covered hills. Thank you too for following. Prim Blessings from Missouri.
I hope you will experience the "Magic of an Ordinary Day" today.
Connie
You are sooo lucky to be in warm weather. We are getting a blizzard here in Iowa. Cold and blowing snow!
