An Awesome Holiday Weekend

Good evening friends.  Just had to drop in and let you all know how the craft show went.  Why oh why did I not get busy 6 months ago and have MORE goodies to offer my loyal customers?  Pictures,,, well I am so sorry, but on Saturday morning when we arrived, there were customers waiting to get in our booth. And it didn't slow down until after lunch.  So pictures never crossed my mind until it was too late.

You know Mr. P does large items, and this year we had two 12x12 spaces and 1 6x6 space.  They were all full to the brim.  You could barely walk.  Mostly his large furniture pieces.  I incorporate my prims sitting them on his pieces for display and have several tables I use also.  Most of the furniture sold on Saturday and when we came up on Sunday, there were folks unzipping our tent to get a head start on shopping.  It was okay as the owner of the show was with them, and knew we were on our way.  So Sunday afternoon our booth was almost bare.

Today when we left there was only one piece of Mr. P's furniture left , and it is pending a lady measuring to see if it will fit in her home.  And my goodies,,, one crate.  Yes, another year we were wonderfully blessed. The weather was so hot, but no rain until a shower came thru this afternoon.

And the hay,,,, well some sold and everyone thought it was a wonderful idea.  You should have heard some of the older men who use to farm come thru and start up a story about hay cutting, etc.  They really thought it was funny.

Darbee Rae had fun with her marshmellow shooters and sold all she had for the day on Saturday and then had to get more from Papa for the last two days.  She and Holly had fun going through the bin of goodies left.  Darbee was so cute.  Yep,,,, she's gonna be my prim shopping partner.  Proud of her goodies.

Well it is getting late and I am so happy that this weekend holiday is behind us.  I think a little vacation is in the future.  Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend and Labor Day.  Hmmm,,,, what will I start working on tomorrow?  This girl learned her lesson this year.  I will not stress out another year..

Please remember Darbee Rae and Holly as Darbee starts her first day of Pre K tomorrrow.  I am excited for her but my heart breaks at the same time.  My baby girl is growing up.  Something we all go thru though.  Take care and until next time....

  7. I'm so happy that you had a great show!! Remember I told you that we are not allow to have any hay or straw in our booths here or no burning candles. No one is allowed to sell Marshmallow shooters either. Use to be able to, but a few years back the Fire Marshall banded a lot of things. It was all about the same time that we had to have the million dollars worth of insurance too. No wonder there aren't as many crafter's doing shows around here anymore.
