About Me

My photo
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 wonderful years. I have been blessed with one daughter who is grown and gone! She and her hubby have blessed us with a precious grandchild, Darbee Rae. She is eight years old and the sunshine in our days. I have always been a stay at home maid, cook, doctor, babysitter, taxi, wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy crafting. My interests include primitives, vintage and colonial styles. I love decorating my home. I enjoy traveling with my hubby and friends, reading, and trying different recipes. I am a Christian and enjoy activities within my church. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily adventures in crafting, shopping, and enjoying life thru the eyes of my darling grand daughter.

Welcome Wednesday,,, A Wonderful Fall Day

Good morning everyone.  The sun is shining brightly here in the South and a nip in the air reminds me that fall is upon us and winter will surely be following close behind.  The coffee is on and I have fresh pound cake if you would like a slice.  There is also O.J. or Cider if you prefer.

Thought I would share the kitchen and bath all decked out for the season.  This will be my last fall decorating pictures as I am so anxiously waiting for NOV. 1 so that I can begin my Christmas decorating.  Yep, I get started early but I so love this season and I like to get things done so that I can enjoy every minute of the holidays.

So, get comfy and I hope you enjoy your visit at our home place. As you enter through the back door, you are greeted by Miss Maggie.  If you have followed awhile you will remember meeting this wonderful woman in a former post as she kept me company in the craft room.  She wanted to get all dressed up and make her appearance downstairs for the holiday.

The next few are just random photos around the kitchen.

This is the little table in the hallway.

The door to the right of the hall is the bath downstairs.  Guest use this bath when they visit so I always do a little decorating in the bath.  Do you decorate in your bathroom too?  After all it is a room.

On the vanity.

Well there you go folks.  I hope you enjoyed your visit as much as I have enjoyed having you stop by. Hope you have a great "hump" day.  Got something fun planned?  I am out the door soon to meet our WMU group of ladies from church for lunch .  Got to hitch a ride as I still DON"T have my ride.  The doctor mechanic has advised us to purchase a new car as ours is getting a little old so the mister is debating what to do.  Until then,,,, I am stranded.  Well, not really as Holly lives close but I so hate not having my own car.  Maybe soon.

Until next time.

  1. Hi Angela,

Let's see....peach pie (from the sunporch visit) and pound cake both this morning...I'm going to have to be careful! :)

You are most definitely my kind of gal....I will be decorating for Christmas November 1st too. Jason has already asked Colt to come out to help with the Christmas tree. We ALWAYS beginning decorating the first weekend of November at least. Like you, I want to be able to have time to enjoy every minute of the Christmas season as it passes too quickly with the hustle and bustle!

I do enjoy the fall decor, but when that weekend comes around, I'm ready for Christmas decor!

Love all your touches of fall! Ms. Maggie scares me though! lol! I'm sure she's a nice lady though. :)

    Hugs,
    Tammy

  7. For some reason I am really excited about getting out the Christmas decor this year and decided on Nov 1st...Bob thought I was crazy..but am going to do it anyway..so glad to hear you are too! Love that witchy poo and all of your Fall decor. I will pass on the pound cake though as I just had a very rich bumpy cake...chocolate with layers of creamy filling. It was 72 here in Michigan today. Take care, Janice

  8. Love your Fall decor!! Everything looks great!! I didn't do much this year with the kitchen remodel going on. Just too much stuff from the kitchen hanging out in the living room and dining room, but the countertops are due to be done in a couple of weeks.

  9. I usually start Christmas the first of Nov, as I take it down the day after Christmas. I think since I am trying to sell the house, there won't be much decorating this year. Enjoyed the cake and the visit.

  10. Wonderful fall decorations.
I usually get started early on my Christmas decorations too. This year I'm not sure. With the house being listed I just don't know.
On one hand I want to enjoy this house with all my Christmas stuff out. But on the other hand what if we would get an offer and it sold before Christmas. So much more stuff to get packed away. It literally takes me a week or more to get it all done. Oh decisions decisions. :)
Guess ill play it by ear. If the mood hits ill just do it. If not I may for the first time my adult life wait till Dec.
    Sorry to babble on.
    ;)

    Hugs,
    Tam
