About Me

My photo
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 wonderful years. I have been blessed with one daughter who is grown and gone! She and her hubby have blessed us with a precious grandchild, Darbee Rae. She is eight years old and the sunshine in our days. I have always been a stay at home maid, cook, doctor, babysitter, taxi, wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy crafting. My interests include primitives, vintage and colonial styles. I love decorating my home. I enjoy traveling with my hubby and friends, reading, and trying different recipes. I am a Christian and enjoy activities within my church. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily adventures in crafting, shopping, and enjoying life thru the eyes of my darling grand daughter.

A Fun Day Playing House

Evening everyone, hope you are all doing well. First I just have to say a big THANK YOU to all who commented on my last post and to all my new followers I was so excited you came to visit and such sweet comments you left for me.

Today has been a beautiful day here in the south.  Warm temps. and very windy. But tonight we are hunkering down with storms on the way and a tornado watch in effect.  All of you around our area, please be safe.  I HATE storms.  I am a big ole scaredy cat.

Was home all day today so decided to take a few pictures of the Spring and  Easter decor I have out.  I don't do nearly as much as I use to but still like to do some.  You might ask what is my style of decorating after these pictures.  First and formost,,, whatever I see I like.  I love primitive things but unless I make them or order them, they are hard to find in these parts.  I love to use them as accent pieces.  I am also in love with the farmhouse country style as you could see in a previous post of my guest room.   So pretty much if I like it,, then that's my style.

Mr. P. loves playing with old pieces of furniture and remaking them.  He has a huge part of our craft show in September and he usually sells out.  This is one of the first pieces he has been able to get done as he has been filling orders up until now.  I love it.  It's so hard with some of his work to sell, I usually want it all, but you gals know we can run out of room.  Enjoy the photos
Don't you just love it?  If all these old pieces of furniture could talk.  What stories I am sure they could tell.
Table in the living room.  I love the eggs made from old feed sacks.  I don't usually make Easter but did make these for myself.
Found the little carrot tree several years ago.  Liked it because it was different.
Painted primitive eggs on my not so primitive mantel.
Old primitive looking stitchery on library table along with big carrot.
Seat part of an old wooden baby high chair.  Hanging on wall at front entry
Display on small table at the entry to the front
The dough bowl this arrangement is in belonged to my great grandmother.

Such a pretty sunny day, thought I'd share a few photos from the sunroom. Love this room in the spring before it gets so hot.  Hard to cool with all the windows.
Well guess that's enough for today.  Hope you have enjoyed visiting  on this beautiful Spring Day. Take some time for yourself.  Don't forget we never get too old to play.  Until next time.......
