About Me

My photo
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 wonderful years. I have been blessed with one daughter who is grown and gone! She and her hubby have blessed us with a precious grandchild, Darbee Rae. She is eight years old and the sunshine in our days. I have always been a stay at home maid, cook, doctor, babysitter, taxi, wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy crafting. My interests include primitives, vintage and colonial styles. I love decorating my home. I enjoy traveling with my hubby and friends, reading, and trying different recipes. I am a Christian and enjoy activities within my church. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily adventures in crafting, shopping, and enjoying life thru the eyes of my darling grand daughter.

I'm Beginning To See A Pattern Here

Good evening everyone.  Hope you all had a great weekend and good beginning of the week. What did I do today?  Well  I met Holly and Darbee Rae and treated them to breakfast at IHOP.  Yep, there is definitely a pattern going on here.  They are out and about on Monday and Tuesday for Darbee to go to  Puddle Jumpers, a class where they learn colors, shapes and get to have play time with friends. So, usually I meet them after class and roam.  Maybe this is why I don't get much done anymore.  But I have had a great time with my girls. Darbee Rae was in a great mood because she and Holly were going to come home with me and spend the day.  Caught her being silly drinking her soda in the resturant.

Holly and Stacy and of course Darbee Rae gave us a gas grill for Mother and Father's Day.  I have always wanted one but was scared I wouldn't like it.  I LOVE it.  Mr. P. grilled for us last night and tonight, guess what?  He grilled again.  WoW!   So nice to have help with supper.  Should have gotten a grill long before now.

Had to get a new improved printer for my computer today while in town.  Holly was here to install it for me and guess what I learned how to do?  Change a graphic from regular print to a mirror image in order to print on material.  I was so excited.  Have wanted to figure out how to do this for so long.  I know, I know, something so simple for some of you but you got to understand I am NOT good with computers.  Thanks Holly for helping me figure out how to get it done.

Remember in my last post I showed you the old wooden spools?   Well this is where they ended up.
They are inside the lamp.  And the shade I posted about earlier.  I used my new great stamp pad and stamped Paris, No.3 on it.  The burlap runner I made from an old coffee sack I showed in a previous post also.
This old dresser belonged to my Daddy's Mother.  I have had it for about 35 years and it has been at home on my front porch and now welcomes you to our carport and back door.  Love the lamp welcoming us home late in the evening.
Look closely and you can see our grill in the background.
Caught a picture of Holly and Stacy watching Darbee Rae on the swing having fun.
Don't you just love those clothes?  And check out those boots.  My friend Jane and I go shopping all the time.  Darbee Rae loves riding in her buggy.  On our last shopping trip, they found these boots and Jane bought them for her.  As soon as we got to her house after town today, she had to put on her play clothes to come to Nana's.  And these boots could not be left at home.  She would sleep with them I think.  Jane you scored a good one when you bought these!(LOL)

Well that's about it for today.  Did I get a craft completed....NO.   Did I mark anything off my list......No.   Did I clean house or do laundry...NO.   But that doesn't matter.  I spent a wonderful fun day with my two girls and hope we made memories that will be with them both long after my life here is over.  Thank you for making so many of my days Mother's Day. I love you both.

Hoping you had a good day whatever you chose to do.  And that good memories were made .  Thank all of you who visit and visit again soon.  You all are so important to me.

  4. Good morning Angela, I print on fabric all of the time, but never knew about changing the graphic from regualr to mirror...guess I will have to ask hubby how to do that...LOL. You are like me when it comes to Darbee Rae visiting you...when my grandchildren; Michael and Mikayla come over, nothing gets done! But I don't care...Love your dresser and oh I can smell that grill from over here! Smiles, Janice PS. 8. Angela I agree. Making memories is much better than doing laundry, cleaning house, etc. You girls are certainly making them!
