Good evening everyone. We arrived in Berlin, Ohio this evening just a few minutes after 6:00. Of course with my luck most of the shops closed at 6. We got our hotel room and headed out for supper. Mr. P was looking forward to those Amish noodles and roast beef. After a delicious supper with homemade bread and Amish food, I just had to go take a peak in all the prim shops. I had to peep in the windows
And I could do damage on this porch. The store was closed but all of these goodies were left on the porch. A rope and chair was all that was there to keep customers out. Oh how I wish they had been open still.
Do you know how I am feeling right now? Coming from an area that has no primitive shops at all and get to a town with so many shops and they are all closed?? Just take a look at all the prim shops.
This shop is going to be great. It has material, wool, kits, patterns, etc. Can't wait to get lost inside there. It was too dark to share all the goodies I saw thru the windows.
And of course in the middle of Amish country, there has to be many horse and buggies. Almost missed this one because I was drooling in a window. Hope you enjoyed the shops and this was only a little section of one side of the street. There are so many more. Mr. P is a good man. I am blessed that he enjoys the shops also. Of course he has already spotted some antique shops he has put on his list for tomorrow.
Our hotel is wonderful. We were given hot fresh baked cookies when we checked in and it even has a movie theater showing two movies if we choose to go. Here is a view from the window.
Well now you all know where we are and what I will be doing for the next few days. We passed so many neat places coming into Berlin and we will definitely be going back there also. I really don't think there are going to be enough hours in the days ahead to do all we want to get done.
So if I don't make it around to commenting on your blogs, just know what I am doing. Hopefully this evening is the last time I have to window shop, and come tomorrow morning, this gal will get to do some serious prim shopping. Wishing all of you were here to share in my excitement.
Wow...looks like so much fun. You deserve it! Have fun shopping and buy some neat goodies! Miss you and love you!

Oh Angela! I sure wish I was with you. I was only there once and we arrived late Sat night and had to leave Sunday...everything was closed and I almost cried!
ReplyDeleteHope you take a ton of photos to share and enjoy your trip!
So that's where you and Mr P. went to in Ohio. Bob and I visited a prim shop in Troy Ohio back in July. We plan on being in Ohio next weekend too for another shopping trip. Those window shops looked awesome..how could they close on you like that. We actually had a couple come in the shop minutes after 6 tonight and we told them not to worry and to take their time. 2 other ladies came in after them and they all stayed until 7. Bob never turns down a possible sale. Enjoy your shopping trip as I know there are no prim shops in your neck of the woods. Take care, Janice

ReplyDeleteI for one, can feel your excitement. We do not have any prim shops in the whole state of Oklahoma. I just get to sit and drool over everyone else's prim shop pictures, lol!
What a beautiful view out your window. Sounds like you picked a good hotel. So glad you all enjoyed your vacation!
