About Me

My photo
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 wonderful years. I have been blessed with one daughter who is grown and gone! She and her hubby have blessed us with a precious grandchild, Darbee Rae. She is eight years old and the sunshine in our days. I have always been a stay at home maid, cook, doctor, babysitter, taxi, wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy crafting. My interests include primitives, vintage and colonial styles. I love decorating my home. I enjoy traveling with my hubby and friends, reading, and trying different recipes. I am a Christian and enjoy activities within my church. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily adventures in crafting, shopping, and enjoying life thru the eyes of my darling grand daughter.

Bring on the Rain and Ohio Bound

Good morning everyone.  Thank you for all the kind comments on my post with the craft show pictures.  Mr. P. and I read everyone but was just to tired to comment on each one so a big thank you to all.

If you need rain in your area just plan to set up at a craft show and more than likely you will get rain.  The tropical storm moving in from the gulf coast caught up with us yesterday as we battled showers all day.  Not a wash out but rain.  Luckily for us we had almost completely sold out on Sat  and even more so yesterday.  The show owners gave an option to the dealers to set up today or take down yesterday so we were delighted to take down.  We are under flood watch and heavy rain warnings here today.  I feel for all the dealers whose sales were not so good and needed todays sales, but am glad to be home today.  And we desperately need the rain. For those of you who saw our booth pictures in  my last post.  Here is one of our booth on Sunday afternoon.
The black hall tree was SOLD and waiting for pickup.  Don't ya think we had a great show?  Hardly anything left to sell.  Mr. P. had 1 large item left.

And I only had these two crates and one of them not full.

We were truly blessed with a great show.  Hoping all of you with shows in the near future have such a great success.  But I am so thankful this is our only one.  What are our plans now????  A much needed vacation,,, Where you might ask?

To  Amish Country, Berlin, Ohio.  We visited there last year but did not have enough days scheduled to take everything in.  This year we have many more days and I am so looking forward to being there.  Prim shopping is #1 on my list.  So if any of you Ohio ladies have any suggestions on places to visit , please let me know.  I will have my computer with me and will be checking in with you all.

Hoping you are having a great Labor Day whatever your plans are.  Take care and will visit  with all of you  later, hopefully from my destination in Ohio.  Until we talk again.......

  5. Glad you had a successful craft show, where was it? I am always looking for a good craft show to visit, we don't have many good ones around here. Your booth looked great, especially when it was almost empty, bet it didn't take you long to pack up.

  6. Angela,
There are a lot of primitive shops in Berlin...most of them are on the same side of the street as Country Gatherings. Wish I could remember the names of the smaller prim shops. The flea market also had some primitive booths in it. Homespun Teasures is a primitive shop in Walnut Creek. A friend told me that her favorite place to eat is Rebecca's Bistro in Walnut Creek.
Can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get back home. Have a fun and safe trip!!
    hugs,
    Cindy

  12. That is incredibly amazing Angela (and Mr. P!) I've never heard of a vendor almost selling completely out...Wowsers.....That says tons about your crafts...and don't forget it...Wallow in it!! And how great to have an "extra day" tucked in there for rest. Wishing you two a very well-deserved vacation - safe travels! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
