My Day Starting Early

Good early morning friends. Woke at 4 a.m. this morning so starting my day a little earlier than normal.  Are you already up and about?  Do you ever have so much on your plate that you want to get done and know there are so many hours in the day,,,, and you feel like sleeping is just a waste of your time?  Well, if so that was my feelings this morning and I just could not sleep.

Being gone everyday to be with Mother, has finally taken its toll on me.  Today I have the day at home, that is if things are as good as the last few have been.  Holly will be going for me and my cousin is also going for awhile.  I just need a day of rest and time alone at home.  Rest..... well not really.  This is the reason I am up so early.
And there are more where these came from.  Got to get these beans done and processed before I can do the fun stuff I want to do myself.  Mr.P has had so many problems with deer this year, we are blessed to have any beans at all. Usually we have bushels by now.

So if any of you are up this early, have nothing to do, the coffee is on and when I get a few snapped, I will run up to the resturant and grab us a biscuit.  We can sit and chat and share stories and I am sure my work will go by much faster.  Right now its rather quiet as Mr. P. is still sleeping soundly.  So just knock softly and I'll let you in thru the back door.  We will visit an hour or so before the mister has to be up for work.

All of you have a great day.  Hope to be back later tonight with some things to share,,,, If I get to stay home today.

Talk a little later  to you my friends.

  2. Angela,
I am an early riser too. Time is too precious to waste sleeping. I will be over soon, save me a cup of coffee. Those beans look great. I didn't get to plant any this year because of the rain. Too bad, I got a new canner for Christmas and was excited to get to use it. Love canned green beans.
I hope you have a nice day.

  4. Oh Angela ... biscuits are one of the foods I love. A local restaurant serves the most wonderful chicken biscuits! Alas, no biscuits on this diet but I will enjoy the fantasy of dropping by your lovely home & having one with you : ) Blessings, Shirlee

  5. good morning dear Angela, I am on my way to help. We don't even have to talk. We can sit, break beans and pray prayers of hope and gratitude. We'll talk if you want. Of course we'll have to have our coffee. I am having mine as we speak. I pray you get your day at home.

  6. Nice that you have a day to yourself...we all need that from time to time. Life can get overwhelming at times if we don't slow down to enjoy the stuff we like to do.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

  7. Good morning Angela, be sure and take that day for yourself. I know how tiring these times can be for you, in fact, I'm STILL catching up on my rest. How I'd love to just pop in to have a cup of coffee with you and I love to break beans! BUT, duty calls and I have to go into the shop today. Just rest, rest, rest while you can, Dawn

  9. Guess I'm too late for a biscuit, huh?? Well, in my defense, we are in a different time zone....Gee, I've never had a biscuit for breakfast before...Hope you still have some bean for me to clean...I don't mind that task at all...And, oh - the thought of fresh bean for dinner sounds heavenly!! Hope you get some respite from the caregiving/attendance duties - you truly do need a break on occasion so you can be whole when you are there...Have a blessed day....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  10. You are an early riser, I am up at 6 every morning just never enough time to get anything done. Glad you are getting a day at home, its rough going everyday to tend to someone. My son and his wife are starting to tire going to the hospital several times a day, but hoping Oliver will come home in a couple of weeks. Take care of yourself, make a special time just for you. Hugs, Vicky

  12. I'm an early riser..but not that early. LOL. Yum fresh cut beans. I have not had a garden for many years now...too much work with the store and my full time job. I heard over the weekend from one of my antique friends, that setting a bar of Irish Spring soap on a stick or iron rod will keep the deer away. Or you can shave pieces of it where you don't want the deer to go. She says it works great. Have a great day! Janice

  13. I actually love doing beans but I can them whole and only snap off the stem. But then, I love doing tomatoes/juice/salsa/soup, well anything. It just makes me feel good.
Glad you are taking some time for you.
