About Me

My photo
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 wonderful years. I have been blessed with one daughter who is grown and gone! She and her hubby have blessed us with a precious grandchild, Darbee Rae. She is eight years old and the sunshine in our days. I have always been a stay at home maid, cook, doctor, babysitter, taxi, wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy crafting. My interests include primitives, vintage and colonial styles. I love decorating my home. I enjoy traveling with my hubby and friends, reading, and trying different recipes. I am a Christian and enjoy activities within my church. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily adventures in crafting, shopping, and enjoying life thru the eyes of my darling grand daughter.

Thank You and Update

I just have to stop a few minutes tonight and thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments, your thoughts, and your prayers for my Mother and our family.  I was so touched by so many of you responding.  Actually it brought tears to my eyes.  But as of late, they are there and ready to fall so easily.  These last  7 days have been so devastating, full of all kinds of emotions, and a feeling of helplessness. I have not taken the time to thank each of you personally but a big thank you to each and every one of you my dear friends.  In reality I will probably never meet any of you, but I feel the love and compassion you have sent my way thru blogland.

I am so saddened to say, things are not getting any better.  Two strong antibiotics are not helping and today we were advised to call in Hospic.  We have a meeting with them to discuss the situation in the morning. So,,, all this said, please continue to keep us in your prayers.  This has so not been an easy thing for me to do.  But we will get thru this and God will be with us. I know there comes a time to be willing to let go and not be selfish.  Mother's life is in God's hands and his will be done with her.

I miss all of you guys and to keep my sanity, I try to visit your blogs, but just don't have the frame of mind to do a lot of comments just yet.  Hang with me and I know soon I will be back to visiting  and commenting on your blogs.  Thank you again for your kindness and concern.  Hugs to all of you.  Until next time.......

  1. Angela ... I will continue to pray for you, your mom, & your family. It is difficult to let go of someone ... it's our own selfish desires that want to keep them here with us ... but if this is her time to leave, you can be comforted by the fact that you will see her again one day. I lost 2 children who were born too early to survive. I was devastated for years until I became a Christian & God impressed upon me that they were not lost to me, they were in a better place & I would one day be with them. Again, my prayers are with all of you. Blessings, Shirlee

  5. Angela, You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is difficult. My parents are older and every time I see them, they seem even more frail. . I will pray for your Mother's comfort and your peace as I know God will take care of things from here.
