Update on Mother and My Giveaway Package

Hello everyone, Hoping you all have had a great day.  So many of you have been so kind and have ask about an update on Mother.  Thank all of you for your kind words and please continure to whisper a prayer for her as well as all of my family.  Her condition most likely will never improve.  Since she has had the bad infection that was the beginning of her downward journey, she has gotten cellulitis(sp?) in her leg and now recovering from that.  On Tuesday, she was really low, couldn't wake her and I even layed out clothes in case I got a call during the night.  Yesterday and today has been two great days.  She has been talking altho weakly, actually  knew what she was talking about and smiled many times during our long visit. For days like today I am so thankful. We are living one day at a time.  You guys help to keep me going.  Thank each and every one of you who comment and share your everyday lives with me.  You will never know how great it is when you make me smile.  Hugs and blessings to all of you.

Now,,,,, recently Tamera over a Country at Heart had a giveaway.  She was so generous as she drew so many winners.  WooHoo, I was a lucky winner.  My package arrived today while I was with Mother.  Was so much fun coming in and ripping into my box.   This is what I found

I was so excited to find all these great goodies.  A sweet note from Tamera and then the fun began.
A great inspirational book by Charles Stanley.  Can't wait to start reading it as the title sounds like a good read for me at this time in my life.
A really cute notepad.  I sure need this. On Tuesday I rushed out of the house to get to visit Mother and when Mr. P  came in I had left the oven on broil since 8 o'clock that morning.  The kitchen was so hot you could hardly stay in there he said.  Called me and ask when I had used the oven last, and I paniced.  I thanked God over and over for not letting anything catch fire.  We were so blessed.  Need to start making myself notes to watch stuff like that.
Love this cute saltbox plaque.  It has already found itself a home on my little green table.
There was also a bag full of vintage trims.  You know I love all old sewing items.  A treasure in itself.  Love the little doily motifs.
Look at the details on this long table runner.  I folded it in half for a picture.  And a set of 4 vintage napkins. Can't wait to set a table with these items.  Maybe a salad luncheon  for friends with these items and old mix matched vintage dishes.  Would you like an invitation?

So, do you see why I am smiling tonight. ?  A good visit with Mother and a wonderful package from a friend.  Just don't get any better.  If you haven't visited Tarmera at Country at Heart take a trip on over and you will be glad you did.  Tell her Angela sent you.

Hoping you all get pleasant surprises in your day, share a smile, and remember I love you stopping by to say hi.....  Signing off tonight with Blessings for each of you.

  13. Hi Angela :) Haven't had time to stop by in a while. I was so happy to read that you have had a couple of such nice days with your mom. I know the lows can really bring a person down. It's so hard to watch a loved one suffer in any way. I will be praying for your mom and for you.
What a wonderful box of treasures you received! I will look forward to hearing if the book is as good as it looks. And I would love to be invited to a salad luncheon with you! That just sounds like such fun!
Looked at your previous post and the apple pie made my mouth water. Made me think that I should make my husband a strawberry pie for a surprise tonight - that's his favorite. :)
Your sister-in law sounds like such a treasured friend. What a blessing!

  22. Angela,
I am glad you had a nice visit with your mom.
I pray she continues to do well. I am also glad you didn't have a disaster to come home too with the oven and all. I'm happy to hear that my package arrived at a good time. The book will shed some new found light on life and life's little detours. I find that inspirational reading is such a great help to me when things are low in my life.
Glad you liked your goodies. I would love to be there for a nice luncheon so we could have a good talk.
    Have a nice weekend.

  23. Hi Angela,
So glad your mom is getting better. Looks like you had an angel watching over you like I did with my own stove where I left the pan on the burner and came home to it being taken off. It seems we both have stove angels now. Love those dark bottles with the sayings for Halloween...I will have to make some for myself. Thanks for the idea! Take care, Janice
